Building homes for the homeless.
We provide better housing options for the homeless and under-housed in rural villages and major cities in Southeast Asia. Our newest endeavor is to build a fully functioning city for a village of 6,000 people. So far over 100 homes have been built by partners of PCL.
PCL partners with the Cambodian government alongside other humanitarian organizations such as the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity on the “Poverty Reduction Project.”
PCL has agreed to provide homes for 1500 families who are presently living in rows of densely packed cardboard and thatched roof houses with gray water and green sticky creeks of trash running between them. To accomplish this mission we’ve recently launched the Build A City Campaign that launches February 6, 2012.
This project involves the relocation of thousands of the poorest of the poor in Cambodia. The government will donate the land and organizations such as PCL must raise the funds to build the homes.
