Projects : Tonle Sap Lake

The Tonle Sap is the largest lake in SE Asia and is home to millions of refugees.

PCL owns and operates two barges on the Tonle Sap providing the refugees access to clean water, food, medical  care and education. The people living on this lake represent a true “water world” with entire villages needing support.

These people have fundamentally no humanitarian assistance, but PCL is making great strides to bring much needed help to this impoverished area. Our barges are used as a daily preschool, feeding center, training center, and medical clinic.

88% of all diseases are caused by unsafe drinking water.

Water filters can be purchased for only $12 and will provide clean water for an entire family for at least one year.

With the support of our partners we provide hundreds of Cambodian families with water filters each year; training families about the importance of drinking clean water and distributing water filters.
